Engineering, equipment, and integration for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
From line layout to the equipment that runs it, we design and deliver production systems built for reliability, repeatability, and scale. When the right equipment already exists, we work with trusted OEM partners to select and integrate the right solution. When it doesn't, we design and build it ourselves.
A complete production line pulls together engineering, equipment, controls, and integration - usually from separate companies. Olive brings it all under one team: one plan, one point of contact, and a line that works as intended.
We start with the operation, not a machine - learning the process, goals, and constraints first.
We engineer the whole system - mechanical, electrical, and controls - as one integrated design.
We select and coordinate the right OEMs and suppliers around the needs of the whole line.
We test and validate equipment, controls, and performance before production depends on it.
We stay on-site through installation and startup, working alongside the plant team, contractors, and OEMs.
We train the team to run and maintain the system, then stay available for ongoing support.
The capabilities we bring in-house - from the first line layout to install and controls on the floor.

Built on decades of food and beverage experience.

Olive Engineering began in a garage in West Olive, Michigan - the town that gave us our name. But the experience behind Olive had been decades in the making.
After more than 35 years in the food and beverage industry - from liquid filling to representing leading equipment manufacturers - our founder, Lon Kloosterman, saw a gap. Manufacturers didn't just need someone to sell them equipment. They needed a trusted partner who could understand the bigger picture, engineer what didn't exist, integrate the equipment they already had, and take responsibility for making it all work together.
So he founded Olive Engineering around a simple idea: do good work, treat people right, and earn trust by delivering. That idea still guides us today.
We exist to honor God through our work by caring deeply for people and stewarding our skills and resources wisely. For our customers, that means being honest, responsive, and accountable. It means moving without unnecessary layers or red tape. And it means taking ownership of the outcome rather than passing problems from one group to another.
Our team brings a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality to complex engineering challenges. We're engineers, builders, and problem-solvers who understand the process, develop the solution, and execute it - from custom sanitary equipment and automation to complete, OEM-neutral system integration.
We're not here to simply supply equipment. We're here to solve problems, build what works, and stand behind what we deliver.
That mindset has taken Olive from a garage in West Olive to a growing team trusted with increasingly complex challenges. As we grow, our ambition grows with us - but the standard remains the same:
The principles behind how we work, how we build, and how we treat the people we serve.
We choose what is right and faithfully steward what we've been given.
We do what we say, communicate clearly, and build trust through follow-through.
We put the team first, support one another, and win together.
We pursue excellence and bring our best without sacrificing the people and life that matter most.
We take responsibility, solve problems, learn from mistakes, and continually improve.
We genuinely care about our customers and our people, and demonstrate it through how we serve, communicate, and show up.

When your team doesn't have the time or people to manage a project internally, we step in and take ownership of the work.
We coordinate the design, equipment, vendors, installation, and startup - working directly with your maintenance, operations, and management teams to keep the project on schedule and issues from becoming delays.
You stay involved without having to manage every detail.
Whether it's a single line upgrade, a retrofit, or a full capital project, send us the details and we'll tell you straight how we'd approach it.
